This summer is expected to be an absolute bumper. Many employers will need summer staff to cope with the huge demand of jobs across a variety of industries. This is why the NSW Government is offering fee-free, industry aligned short courses for young people wanting to learn new skills.

Traffic Controller Training
SafeWork NSW accredited Traffic Control Work Training (TCWT). 3 day combo course incorporating Traffic Controller and Traffic Implementer training.
Get job ready to be a traffic controller in 3 days. Good job prospects exist throughout NSW as the infrastructure boom drives the state recovery from the pandemic.
RIIWHS201E Work safely and follow WHS policies and work procedures
RIICOM201E Communicate in the workplace
RIIWHS205E Control traffic with a stop/slow bat
RIIWHS206 Control traffic with portable traffic control devices and temporary signs
RIIRIS301E Apply risk management processes
RIIWHS302E Implement traffic management plans
RIIWHS303 Position, set up and program portable traffic control devices
Heavy Plant Tickets - Front End Loader & Roller
Hands on 5 day training course for tickets in using a Front End Loader and a Roller. These are two of the most common heavy equipment on construction sites.
Successful participants with be awarded a nationally recognised statement of attainment for RIIMPO321F – Conduct civil construction wheeled front end loader operations, & RIIMPO317F – Conduct roller operations.

White Card Training for traffic controller & construction work
A white card (or general construction induction card) is required for workers who want to carry out construction work. This includes Traffic Controller as they routinely perform their duties at road construction work sites.
Additionally, the white card becomes void if you haven’t carried out construction work for two consecutive years or more.
Successful participants will be issued with a White Card by SafeWork NSW, and a statement of attainment for CPCCWHS1001: Prepare to work safely in the construction industry
Vehicle Inspection & Chain of Responsibility Training
This special 1 day combination course is essential for anyone considering work in a transport related industry.
The vehicle inspection training teaches students essential skills for vehicle maintenance and operation.
The Chain of Responsibility goes into detail for the risks involved in the day to day operations of drivers and transport workers. This includes knowledge and management of fatigue, speed, load restraint for different load types.
Confined Spaces and Working at Heights Training
Construction work is a risky business. Lots of contractors working side by side, heavy equipment and vehicles, and working in confined spaces and at heights. The majority of workplace fatalities are attributed to falls from heights.
In addition to safety training in White Card, this Confined Spaces and Working at Heights combo course provides construction workers with life saving knowledge that is a necessity in the workplace.
Successful participants with be awarded a nationally recognised statement of attainment for RIIWHS202E Enter and work in confined spaces and RIIWHS204E Work safely at heights.
Forklift Training - starts 2022, enquire now!
Get your Licence to Operate a Forklift.
Successful participants will be awarded a nationally recognised statement of attainment for TLID2010 – Operate a forklift and TLILIC0003 – Licence to operate a forklift truck, and be able to apply for a national licence to perform high risk work to operate a forklift.
Participants must be 18+ and apply to produce 100 points of identity.
